NCSSAA reinserts Providence in the 4A playoffs

In a rare Sunday morning meeting, The NCSSAA met and decided to re-insert the Providence Panthers into the 4A playoffs. The executive panel agreed that that Providence could do better if they just had one more chance. The panel was swayed by Providence's high national ranking and the testimony of Charlotte observer sportswriter Langston Wertz. Mr. Wertz pleaded with the panel as he was concerned that he may be viewed as a jinx similar to the Madden jinx as he had just published a feature article on Providence's march to the state title on the morning of their unexpected first round loss. In addition, Mr. Wertz said he had more articles on Providence teed up and ready to go.

If it is not obvious.....tongue is firmly in cheek.

You ought to get the award for "Low Blow of the Year". Tongue in cheek or not, not even close to appropriate. If you don't get the "Low Blow of the Year" title, you should apply for the "Hit 'em When They Are Down" banner.

Look closely and you will see it not a jab at the players or coaches....they are super players and have a super coaching staff...you can't accomplish what they have without both of the above. This was just a playful jab at those who had them going all the way and to Langston.

Sometimes when something awful happens a little humor helps....even if it is bad humor.

Congrats to the Panthers for a great season and congrats to Mt. Tabor for moving on.

I didnt take it as a jab either. Low&Slow only points out that wish that we've all had at some time or another after we lose in something,,,, that somehow, someway, somebody would give us one more chance.

Wheres that dang mulligan when you really need it...

Low and Slow knows what's going on. Leave the man alone. He's spot on!

 

If you know Low ands Slow, then you know that he would never say anything negative about a school, program and kids. I thought the dig was kind of clever and only bringing to light to all the posters who were claiming Providence the most powerful and best team since the 27 Yankees. I know Providence and also Kell have OUTSTANDING programs and both are coached by two of the best in the business, so year in and year out they will be one of the best in the state. During playoff time anything can and will happened and to those who say make it a series, that is no guareentee that a certain team will win. The seniors are hurting and will never forget their senior season but they will get over it and move on to the next chapter. Basically what i am saying is Lay off Low and Slow because he is one the people who promotes all kids. The posters who was writing about how great Providence was, take your ribbing it to shall past. Always take the field during HIGH SCHOOL PLAYOFFS.

 

NCAA approves automatic cuts...

NCAA has approved automatic cuts for any baseball player with less than 10 innings pitched or at-bats. What a shame for those poor unfortunate kids who came out of HS with great assspersperations and just had a rough break. Maybe the NCAA can have an emergency meeting and reinstate them if they get cut.
