Need a rule verification/clarification

Thanks for all the information folks. You confirmed what I thought - that this is an old baseball ruling in terms of type of glove warned.

The cost of that erroneous call was negligible. We beat the team 12-2. In a tight game this could have certainly changed the tide of the game, as the girl was put out at second, and not only did the ump call her safe at 2nd but then awarded her 2 bases and a run for use of illegal equipment.

As it was, it just brought up the need to clarify this rule. While the centerfielder will surely not be using the 1st base mitt any longer, should such a bizarre call ever have cause to come up again, we now have the answer.
