Need some help Davidson Copperheads-Summer Wood Bat

    The Davidson Copperheads of the Southern Collegiate Baseball League are still needing host families for this summer. We have worked very hard to bring in the best local talent, but in order to attempt to fill our roster with pro prospects we had to scour the country a little bit. If you or anyone you know would be interested in hosting one of these guys, please contact Derek Shoe at [email protected] or at 704-305-3649. It is a great experience for all involved.     On a different note, I would like to arrange a night for the members of TBR to come out to Davidson College for a game. Being that I coached college baseball for 3 years before taking this job, I really appreciate the efforts that you all put forth to promote high school baseball in North Carolina. I will put aside as many free tickets as necessary to get you all in. You will see a lot of the guys that I am sure you all used to talk about as they beat up on each other playing together at last. Check out the schedule and lets start throwing some dates out there to see what would work best for the majority if you all are interested.

    Okay folks....do you have young kids? Do you have grown kids? How great would it be to have an excellent college player and person to live with you for the summer? The experiences that you will gain from this relationship will last a lifetime. And if you have a young ballplayer as a son; I can assure you their relationship will be special.

    The players are from all over, so it would be nice to teach some of them about "Southern Hospitality".

    C'mon, let's help these young men out...and in doing so, you will have a memory and a relationship that may carry to the Major Leagues. Every parent that I know that has been involved in hosting a player have all stated how wonderful their time was together.

    How about it, TBR members!

    and on a side note. Coach Shoe may have thought I overlooked this, but it did not escape my attention. TBR night!!! Free tickets!!! I'd love for someone to organize a date when we could all get together for fun, fellowship and food....did I mention food? tj21 promised to supply the famous Townhouse 'nana pudding...oh, and Dukey will supply the Lexington BBQ

    I am playing summer ball for the Monroe Channelcats and helping out at On Deck when I can

    We will be playing Monroe on Wednesday, June 20th at 7:00 at Davidson College. How does that date sound?

    Look...this is serious. I need 8 hosts that live in the Charlotte area to Mooresville. I need to know something quickly....and I'm talking to you. Don't make me come knocking on your door. These players need a place to live. TBR has always helped in the past; it's embarrassing that no one has responded yet. Please help! or at least inquire

    We are still looking for 6 host families. Please contact me if you have any interest at all as I would love to talk with you more in depth about it. We are down to 9 days until our guys report, so please take the time to consider being a host family this summer.
