Needs a team.....

    Guys....this is a situation that is a little shocking. A player that I have been working with for a few months just moved to Charlotte from Southern California. Due to eligibility issues the player was not able tryout for his Middle School team (JM Robinson). I have gotten to know the player as well as his father and they are really good people. Charlotte-Mecklenburg has cut and dry rules and without fully going in to the situation the system has let down the player.

    The player is in 8th grade and turning 15 in the fall. He is a second baseman and very solid fundamentally at the plate. Anyone who gets this kid on their travel team is making an upgrade.

    Please respond and let me know of any teams interested in picking this kid up and I can give you his information.

    If he wants to play USSSA, go to crystalcarolinasports.com and post your info on the message board. I guarantee you this, that there are teams that will want to look at this kid.

    I coach the defending AAU Div1 National Champions and we have 1 slot open.We are based in the W-Salem area and I would give him a look.Our first tournament will be the Impact World Series in Cary.We are 14U this year.

    Right in his backyard are the 14u Charlotte Megastars (Jeff McNeely), the 14U On Deck teams (Kevin Hill) and the Stealth (Jeff Schaefer). All three are convenient to South Charlotte and have good instruction and play at a high level.
