You say you are planning to play in college showcase tourneys. Do your plans include ASA in Colorado and California where the players get some real exposure?

There are some nice showcase tournaments on the east coast without having to travel to colorado or california. The firecracker tournament in Boulder would be a great experience but not as a recruiting tool for your players. Too many players too many teams. Emails to college coaches, NFCA camps and again emails to coaches is a better use of time and money. Plus going to Colorado and or California tournaments to get recruited by WEst Coast teams takes a special player and by this I mean one that would be able to move that far away from home.

great competition, great experience and prolly great fun for all but we dont have a problem getting the good ones in colleges with the quality of play in our "east coast showcasers" here either. we have come along ways in this area and i see it growing yearly and isnt as important as it once was to travel across the country for quality competition to prepare our players for the next level.

Is that the first question you would ask a team rep if you were seeking a team for your DD? or are you just taking a shot at the other 350 teams who didnt travel there last year or have no plans to go?
regardless welcome to our little east coast softball message board and we hope you will provide useful insight, scores and positive feedback and applaud everyones effort to educate, instruct and promote our young female student/athletes of this great game wherever they choose to play.

as mentioned, emails, camps, playing against college teams in the fall, networking with college coaches from across the southeast and any school our Players list as a favorite and phone calls to them have provided great results.

playing in CO or CA is wonderful experience and wish every player from NC/SC
inspiring to play collegiate softball and their parents could add that to their softball resumes. well-organized, the best teams/officials/facilities and the feel of playing the best of the best is priceless.

will anyone loan me 20 thousand dollars so i can take a team there Next Year? PM me :D
