Along those same lines, Confucious say, "Don't go shark hunting with a Zebco 202".:ylsuper:

    Hitting

Since hitting is 90% mental, if the young lady using the bat thinks it makes a difference, it does. The brand does not matter if the kid believes it makes a difference. I have seen kids afraid to get a new bat because it may not be as good or I might not be able to hit with the new one. My DD believes in the Catalyst and it helped her hit well as a freshman in college which let to all-conference honors. I know the bat had little to do with it but she believes it did. Fine I will buy her another Catayst if her hitting continues. The point is most of the high quality bats are good, let the kids use them and decide what makes them comfortable, it will pay off. Bottomline, U all are right in your own way.:blah: :blah:

    Exactly.....

As everybody likes to say including myself. If you believe you can hit then a 2 x 4 will do just fine. So, as Rodney says, if you believe in a catalyst, quad, or a rocket tech then you can hit. Pick up a bat and hopefully it feels right when you swing it. I also hope the ole hall of fame coach didn't bring a knife to a gun fight...

    Bats

1 thing you might want to consider with the HS ball is it's going to cold weather at first of season, below 60 degrees,& that is where your composite bats will hold up vs metal bats.I do hope Anderson comes out with a more durable bat.Last yr we went through 3 bats before getting 1 that seems to be holding up.It will not leave the house till warm weather is here.My personal pick would be the Catalyst for those looking to buy.

cure for cold weather is an old knee sock and some powdered hand warmers if you cant afford a bat warmer. activate the hand warmers and put them between the sock and barrel of the bat. bat keeps its minumun temp and balls fly off they in cold weather. been doing this for three years, haven't dented a bat yet, and we have seven rt's for highschool.
