Does anyone know where the players will come from? Will they compete right away? Who will be coaching these schools? Will they be in the SW4A or a different league? Interested in hearing thoughts.

Bailey in N Charlotte will be much like Ardrey Kell. They will hit the ground with talent. Many talented coaches are interested in this job.

Bailey's official name is Hough High School, it will mostly draw from the North Meck and Hopewell areas and join the I-MECK conference I believe. Rocky River in Mint Hill will draw from Independence, Butler, and East Meck's attendance zones and join the SW4A. Hope this helps

Which school from each group listed here will be hurt the most? It was mentioned earlier that Bailey would hit the ground running. Does Mint Hill have a chance to do the same?

Don't forget that the first year a new high school is open, it has no seniors. This year's juniors will stay at their current school for their senior year.

We have two boys who play baseball. Next year when Hough High opens we'll have a senior who stays at Hopewell and a freshman at Hough. It could be fun living with cross town rivals.

Can't forget about Cox Mill High School in Cabarrus County. Got a guy in JD Vidal that is going to do an excellent job. He brings a lot of knowledge, hard work, and passion. Those that know him have seen the work he has put in so far. Those boys believe in him already.

Throw some names at us. Do you think they will go with an inexperienced guy or someone that everyone is familiar with. I know that East Meck, Bultler, and Hopewell all have good JV coaches. I'm sure there are others as well. Ardrey Kell or Providence assistants? Saw that Rocky River has hired a football coach so I can't image that baseball hirings at these two schools are far behind.

Haha..I doubt they want me to publish their names, but they are experienced head coaches and all of them are not from this area.

I have no idea if there is a front runner, but everyone realizes it's a great opportunity
