NEW EASTER TOURNAMENT ANNOUNCED

    Forest City, NC
    McNair Field, a newly constructed stadium and home of the Forest City Owls summer collegiate baseball team, will host an Easter Tournament for high school baseball teams in the spring of 2009. Details are below :

    Date : April 13-16
    Site : McNair Stadium, Forest City NC ( Apx. 1 hour from Charlotte, Hickory and Asheville)
    Number of Teams : Eight (East Rutherford, T.C. Roberson, North Buncombe, Patton, Chester HS (S.C.), and HS Ohio are already committed, so two spots are left)
    Guaranteed Games : Three
    Cost : No entry fee
    Concessions : Yes

    It is my understanding that Patton High School is in the tourny? I will try to confirm. BTW, the facility is absolutely AWESOME!

    I hope you get a couple of Charlotte teams. This has the makings of a great tournament at a beautiful facility
