    Most Cougar fans felt that Harper would get the job if and when he decided to make himself a candidate. Good man, good coach. He does a great job with the kids and works well with the staff as AD. He will remain the AD as well as take over the football program. 2007 will be a rebuilding year at Alexander Central. Good Luck to the Cougars!

    Harper is a great guy! Kids and parent respect him. I for one am glad he took the job. Now lets hope he gets the offense moving the ball. Honeymoon is over Coach.

    Harper will do a great job. As for the offense, the team lacks speed. Outside of Harrington and Zeller, this years team did not have a lot of rabbits and they both are seniors. Next year will be a challenge, the line is gone. Russell is a very good QB, look for Byron Mays to step up and have a good year at WR. Harper will have the kids ready and they will be competitive but they will not be able to lean on the defense like they did in 2006. By my count I can think of only 3 defensive starters returning and 2 on offense. 5 starters coming back out of 22 is not many.

    What a great guy and coach. I think he might be the perfect example of someone that would have the makeup of a GREAT athletic director. I know how involved with players/students/faculty this man can be. I hope the coaching aspect goes well for him in addition to being the AD at Alexander. I've never been around any school personnel that seemed to care for the kids the way that he does. He's one of a kind and Alexander should feel lucky to have him.

    I wish him all the best except for when he plays EB.
