    According to some posts on NC Preps it appears that John Ackley along with The Greensboro Batting Center and Carolina Acceleration are putting together a new College Recruiting travel team with a cost of "Free". There site is/will be:

    Anyone heard about this? Is it legit?

    Yes...I talked to John on Sunday about this. He is going to send me all of his information and then I will post everything about it. I can assure you that everything I was told was very, very positive and something that will greatly benefit our members.

    The people involved are very experienced and what they are trying to accomplish is something that has value. I will post about it as soon as John gets me the info

    Braves, I agree - competition should make every group have to work harder to better serve the players.

    I know Carmine and he is the best strength and speed coach I have ever benn around !! If they are going to have ateam it will be a honor to be on it and can tell you that.THey should know about all the kids in the area so they should have a great team and maybe even 2 teams.I will call Carmine today and post something tonight after E.R. and Ragsdale.

    I spoke with JA this week, and he's scheduling a MLB scout workout for area high school and college players identified as prospects for the June draft.

    Just to give an update; John Ackley will be answering some questions and giving us an update about PrepStars soon....so stay tuned. It is unique in our state and will fill a niche not currently being done.
