New High School Travel Ball RUle

    What in the world is up with the "new" rule involving high school coaches that coach outside teams? I have read in the Fayetteville Observer that there has been a change to the rule. SOmething to the effect that a high school coach is restricted from coaching "other teams" during the high school season. I am not saying they are banned, but restricted is the operative word, who knows what the deal is?

    I understood that was always the standard for Varsity coaches. not until they are done in the playoffs can they pick it up. JV coaches and asst coaches are allowed, so there are always ways around the rule...

    Anyone else know?

    Rule ?

    I had heard that they are only allowed 7 players from their HS team as well on a travel team.
