    WELCOME ABOARD JM15

Glad you made it...we have a few Easterners on the Board...we are trying to open up that area for info for all of us

What team do you play for?...and what position?

We started out in January primarily a Charlotte and surrounding areas message board. We are pretty strong everywhere..The mountains, the triad and the piedmont...we are just beginning to get some posters out East

    hey braves, thanks.

i am a pitcher/shortstop for both Cary HS and Cary Post 67 American Legion. I'm a "pitcher" but because of the lack of middle infielders at our high school, i was more of a "short stop" this spring, lol. and after playing short all spring, it looks like ill be playin short for the legion team (our first game is may 22, unless hs playoffs affect our roster or the opponents). i consider myself a pitcher, though. We have a lefty goin to App State and another lefty who is hard to hit, with the combo. of that situation, and the shortstop situation, i haven't gotten as many innings as i would have liked... but its all good, i just want to play. Next year i am lookin at a few JUCO's, Lenoir, Pitt, Surry, etc...

You sure you want people from the east postin' on here? I know the people down east like to run their mouths, haha.

It looks like Fuquay and Greenville Rose will be the two teams to beat out of the east (I assume Fuquay will be placed in the East?). Fuquay has breezed by most of their opponents, they have one loss.... and it was a shocker. Fuquay lost at home to Middle Creek HS. Middle Creek is a new school with just freshmen and sophomores... go figure. It goes to show baseball is a weird game and anyone can beat anyone. Rose lost to Laney early in the year but since has had few close ball games. Rose has power, Fuquay has pitching. Who are the teams to watch out for out west?

    Top teams in the West:

    Hillsborough-Orange
    North Forsyth

There are alot of very good teams in the SW4A, but I don't think they are as deep as the two above.... In particular: Myers Park, East Meck ... Providence is scary, but inconsistent.

    A few dangerous teams:
    South Caldwell
    Alexander Central
    Hopewell
    West Forsyth
    Riverside

JM, if you will go back through the old posts, you will see there is plenty of "good spirited" mouth running going on here. Good luck playing college ball. Remember, most college baseball players are converted pitchers and shortstops.

    Welcome JM15-
The Raleigh area seems to be loaded with alot of talent! They have some really strong teams as you know this year. They also have some very good young teams with really good underclassmen including Middlecreek with lefty Nick Morrison -Cary with lefty Joe Cutler and a Wake Forest Rolesville staff that could be one of the best in the state the next few years. We look forward to your posts and good luck in college!
