    If the girls were really watching the game...

    ...I think the way the comentators and even the folks on SportsCenter were saying how tough she is (which I completely agree with) and the way she took the hit and didn't miss a beat would make them not want to wear a facemask even more.

    yes, agree

    Didn't watch all the game but don't recall the TV folks saying anything about preventing such a potential serious injury by use of a facemask.

    Nope, not a peep about a facemask. Actually they were saying how important it was for young pitchers to learn early on how to get into a good fielding position with their glove up after the pitch. Said Danielle did exactly what she was supposed to do and was in good position, just happened to miss the ball.
