NF at Davie: Great Atmosphere

First of all, congrats to Davie for a superb season. They lost to a supremely solid NF squad. The crowd at that game was unlike any other I have ever seen for HS baseball. Had to be close to 1,000 at the game. I would be very surprised if it wasn't. NF had a huge crowd following them, and Davie had a huge home crowd. It made for a fantastic game with a tremendous playoff atmosphere.

As for the game, and I hate to point out a specific player, but the error on the outfielder in the 1st that lead to the 1-0 NF lead was the start of the snowball effect. DC made another error and NF scored again to make it 2-0. You could tell that Addison Johnson's 2 run opposite field HR deflated DC. The throw by the DC centerfielder to make the out in the plate in the 5th (I think) was a fantastic play. Kudos to him for making a BIG TIME play.

NF moves on, stays undefeated and will host the first game with SC on Thursday. Great season DC, you've got nothing to be ashamed of.

 

Dang it, I've got to head back to Lynchburg for a couple days on Thursday so I'm gonna miss the game.
