    The "Fundamentals of Coaching" course that is required of HS coaches is well worth the $35 cost!

    At first I thought it was just some more red tape and a waste of time and money. Exactly the opposite!

    Unlike the ACE certification, this is not a shallow course. There is substance to this course. I'm saying this after completing just the first two units. About 2-3 hours invested so far. Que Tucker of the NCHSAA says it's about an 8-hour course.

    I would recommend this course to ALL coaches of kids at the HS level; TB included.

    Anyone who has completed the course, could you give us your opinion—good or bad? Or how about the softball specific course by Mike Candrea on the same site? Is that worth it?

    There are many FREE courses on this site, also. Maybe thisboardrocks could make this link a Sticky. I believe it would benefit players, parents and coaches many times over; and make for some good discussion, to boot.
