Award Nominations for the 5th Annual Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Banquet are now open. The banquet will be held January 28th at Charlotte Catholic High School. Thirteen unique awards will be presented to the top baseball and softball players in the Greater Charlotte Area at our 5th Annual Banquet in February. This awards dinner is a first class evening designed to honor the entire youth baseball and softball community and its top players and scholars. Over 600 people attended this special night last year to honor all the finalists and award winners.

If you have never attended the event, make sure you join us this year. In just a few short years the event has grown into one of the largest Hot Stove Dinners in the country. We work hard to make the night very special for the community and all the student-athletes that participate. It is the one night of the year when all baseball and softball players can come together to celebrate the growth of both sports in the community.

Please take the time to make your nominations at www.hotstovedinner.com

Nominations will close on December 18th and you must be nominated to be selected as a finalist for each award.

I have listed the awards and last years winners below:

High School Baseball Player of the Year - Brett Austin
High School Softball Player of the Year - Sarah Mooney
Scholar-Athletes of the Year - Caitlin Kurtz & Justin Hammond
High School Team of the Yea - Charlotte Catholic

Please note, anyone can make a nominations, the nominations come to us without names. I strongly encourage parents to participate in the nomination process as they know their children better than anyone. My advice is don't rely on someone else to do what you can do, make the nomination.

The 5th Annual Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Banquet date, location and ticket information will be announced in the next week!
