Webb High has several players that have not committed.

Dylan Newton-RHP/OF 6'2 185-Throws upper 80's with great cutter. Can be tough on hitters.Swings from leftside-Can also Catch if needed.Runs well and is good athlete. Was #1 pitcher last year.

Trey Talley -RHP/C 6'2 185-Throws 83-85 with good curveball.Swings from leftside and was our #3 hitter last year on a team that made 4th round of 3-A playoffs.Throws well from behind the dish also.

Ryan Allen-2B/RHP 5'8 150-Has great hands and glove actions at 2B-can also play SS(strong arm). Was our leading hitter last year vs. college level pitchers. Also, is 84-86 from the mound and will see more time there this year.

    Joel Adcock-3B 6'1 190-Plays QB on football team-good arm.Hit 4th or 5th for us last year.

All of these guys are great young men from terrific families and all will make some coach a happy person. Some could be 2-way players for the right school.

Baker has the genes... Dad pitched for State. Hardworking kid who will likely grow 1-2 more inches. Strong mentality who wants to be on the mound when the game is on the line. Hearing from several DI's but looking for the perfect fit. Pitching for the Dirtbags this fall.

    2010 uncommitted

Luis Renvill Hoke County Currently plays for the Carolina Cubs Leadoff hitter plays mainly short but can play centerfield very well. 6.85 60 and was told led the Cuds in hitting at East Cobb an 8-8 stolen bases. This kid will be a draft guy by his Junior year. Very high in class rank and outstanding kid. Maybe Diesel can comment on this kid since he is a cub.

Hunter Jones Smithfield- Selma High School Pitcher and OF 81-84 mph real good curve and great changeup. Does what a pitcher is suppose to do get outs. Very good contact hitter, good hit and run guy, will get you a RBI when you need it. Good under pressure and when the game on the line. He would be a great pick for any college.

Will Byrd St. David's Catcher Very accurate throwing arm, with pop times always around 2.0-2.1. Lot's of power in bat. Loves to play and compete. Just needs right opportunity to come around and will make some school very happy.

Nick Ferri OF Forsyth Co. Day 6.7-6.8 runner. LH bat with pop. Great OF who reads ball off bat well. Plays for Coach Andy Partin in high school. Has recieved interest from all levels of colleges. Lead off type batter.

Matt Laxton Middle Creek A strong hitter and a great base-runner. Matt has a strong accurate outfield arm. He reads the ball well. Bats in the top 5 in the line-up. OF is his primary position, but is also a LHP (low 80's). He is a two sport athlete. Captain & (LB) on the football team. All conference in football and baseball. Excellent student- great young man on and off the sports field.Top 8% of his senior class, member of Honor Society & AP Scholar.

Nick Schavone Middle Creek High School - Sidearm LHP that is clutch in tough situations. Has a fastball with good movement, a slurve and a deceptive change. Induces lots of ground balls. Reliever for Apex Legion as a Junior. Also plays OF, 6.9 runner, attended APP State Summer Prospect Camp and was rated a 3(college level) for contact and power in batting cages. Great knowledge of the game, very coachable and always has his head in the game. Excellent Student with GPA 4.0(AP classes), 1700's SATs. Nick comes through in tough sitatuions with composure and is a leader on and off the field.

Has a lot of pop in his bat. Hits from the left side. Great arm across the diamond. Would be a great pick up for any college team.

    More Monsters

There are a few 2010 with the 17U Lake Monster team that have yet to commit. All these guys are good students and great young men. They are an absolute please to coach and be around.

Ben Longton - South Central - RHP
Just wants to play baseball somewhere. Is a young 2010. Low 80's with the potential to pickup a little bit. Nice secondary stuff. Does well in big games and pressure situations. Loves to compete and has a tough mentality on the mound. Also plays OF and pretty good stick.

Collier Roberts - Broughton - OF
Sub 7 speed (don't have exact numbers but this kid is fast). Great instincts in the OF and on the bases. Above average arm and left handed bat. His dad pitched at UNC. Goes all out all the time. Has received some offers but not committed yet.

Everett Charlton - South Lenior - OF / IF
7.0 60 time at tryout with the potential to go lower. Great bat. Smart and aggressive ball player. Has not gotten a lot of attention so far but this kid has the ability to play somewhere.

Najee Jackson - North Lenior - OF
Diamond in the rough for somebody. Was completely off the radar until recently. 6.59 in the 60 but he has been clocked faster. Left handed bat with above average arm. Not a very tall kid but built like a brick wall. Opened some eyes when he scored from first on a botched pickoff play one weekend at Wesleyan and then beat out a routine grounder to shortstop over at ECU the following weekend.
