East Columbus opened last Thursday with a tough home loss to North Brunswick by a 64-56 score. ECHS is off this week and faces three games after returning to school from the Holiday.

Score 62-20. SC had a lapse in the 3rd period. The score was 42-9 at the half.

I'm officially on the record as to saying that this series needs to end. Everyone knows this is scheduled because of the Marion Christian Boys team has wanted to see if they were good enough to compete with our boys. That question should be answered by now. The girls for both teams IMO get no benefit from playing this game.

They played West Caldwell. They usually open w/ West and Hibriten but will play HHS in their conference. Sorry I did not realize I left that out.

I totally agree. I went to New Manna and saw many years of Christian School ball and can say that those schools can never get on par with a public school program. Most of the time in Christian School girls' b-ball, it's very low scoring, not much ball movement, and plenty of calls for fouls, jump balls, and violations (traveling, 3 seconds, double dribble for the most part). Not much team organization at all.

However, the only benefit from a game like this was for McDowell's reserves & JV's in that they received some varsity experience. Other than that, NOTHING. If McDowell wants to schedule some private/Christian school teams, they need to look into scheduling games against Charlotte Victory Christian (aka Vee Cee Cee), Providence Day, and/or other programs that perennially face good public school programs and have proven success against them.
