    When I left there was 1 out in the top of the 7th at NL. NL was up 8-3 on the strength of a Stihl Sowers grand slam in the bottom of the 6th. Brandon Sutton looked as if he were going to finish a complete game.

    coach at NL?

    is the coach at N. Lenoir Jim Montague? or is he at S. Lenoir?
    I played HS baseball w/ Jimmy.

    I'm pretty sure Montague is the coach at North. I still can't get over him saying in the newspaper something along the lines of "I wish we could play some college teams so we didn't have to sit around these days." With that being said, they'll be getting a second ring this year.

    If I remember correct Montague went to South Johnson. I remember watching him play American Legion baseball with Snithfield in 1976 where he was a team mate of Ray Tanner. Smithfield lost to Newell out of Charlotte in the 1976 state American Legion Championship.

    Montague

    yes, Jimmy Montague went to S. Johnston HS & played with Ray Tanner in HS & Legion. Jimmy was a catcher mostly & did some pitching. Also played at UNCW.

    north lenior wins game 3.....think the final was 2-1. they head to the championship once again.
