4 conference losses.Dont think thats happened in over 20 years at AC. Seems like with the talent they have this wouldnt have happened. The other conference teams seem to be getting better and AC seems to be going the other way. What could be the reason for AC having this problem because they are a very talented team.

Team unity starts with the coach.First thing he needs to do that he dont is treat all the players the same.Second thing he needs to do is quit blaming the players for losing because when practice lasts for just an hour and all you do is batting defencive mistakes happen. And by the way it dont look like his batting style is working either.

You have to remember those girls are hitting JV pitching. Huge difference between that and varsity. Most (not all) but most jv pitchers won't ever be good varsity pitchers because if they are that good they will be throwing varsity as freshman

you hit the nail on the head central-d. i think alot of parents get frustrated when their dd use to hit great at the jv level, then they struggle at varsity. at the varsity level alot of pitchers have come into their own and it is alot better pitching and alot more nerves for the batters. and the umpires have alot of different strike zones as well. as for hitting styles, i have seen very unorthodox batters knock the crap out of a ball consistently because they focus on the ball and wait on a strike. even the best teams end in alot of 1 -0's and 2 - 0's because of the better pitching. then some better teams struggle with not so great pitching because of the tendency to play down a level instead of stepping up their game. a team has got to be focused and goal oriented when they hit the field for 7 innings or they will end up on the losing side of the game to a lesser (lack of a better word) opponent. and as far as getting on here and smearing a teams coach, don't take much guts to type behind a fake name, step up and air your concerns to the coach personally not here where it stirs up the redneck in a person.:twocents:

It is hard to believe where SC is in the conference this year. There is way to much talent on this team to be where they are. We have probablly the best pitching in the conference, good hitters and a solid defensive team. There have just been way to much turmoil with the team. Very bad coaching during the games have cost us several games that we could have won. The coach has made several parents very mad this year with her inemptness and attitude. She has the program on a down hill spiral hopefully the AD who is very knowledeable in the sport can see this and make a change before it is to late. This girl don't know what she is doing at all and it shows. Never before has SC been this far down and especially with the talent we have this year it may be our best team ever

central-d(donny?) i agree that the pitching is not at the level that varsity is on, but we still have the same style and have faced several good pitchers this year. on our side we have 2 that could start for alot of varsity teams right now! the style that coach uses works! ex. look at aslhley adams, she has close to 20 hrs for w.carolina this year. who taught her??? , coach bolick. the coach can`t hit for the player! as for south, hang tough coach!!!!!!!!!!

sbmom, what is your pitchers name and what travel team does she play for? i try to look for each conference's top pitcher in the summer to see how they fair against stacked teams. haven't seen but a couple of nw4a pitchers during summer season and if sc's is the best i would like to see her pitch. what colleges is she looking at also.
