Congrats on the win. Came up to the Varsity game. That Kayla Johnson is a hitter!! Hannah Stutts isn't a pushover and she made it look like she was throwing beach balls up there. I thought after the pitchers got in their groove it was an excellent game. I thought Hannah really settled down and pitched well over the last 4 innings. Emily is a Great pitcher also. One of my ex players was playing LF as a freshman for North. Shes been hitting good but was a little overwhelmed last night. Emily CAN PITCH!! I was proud of the Raiders the way they hung in. AC has a good team and its worth the price of admission just to watch Johnson hit WOW. Good Luck the rest of the way

Ashe's freshman pitcher came out on fire. 0 walks and 11 k's.

Barton pitched well for Watauga striking out 9.

    Reagan 8
    Watauga 7 10 innings

Reilly for Watauga and Pierington for Reagan each had 12 k's in the game.

The Reagan coaching staff, players, and parents are all first class. They provided lunch for all the players and coaches from Watauga, which was a classy thing to do. Good luck to the Raiders the rest of the season.

    Freedom splits @ Dorman

    Game 1- Freedom 5
Dorman 3 Ashley Hasson with the win

    Game 2 Freedom 8
    Dorman 9

Dorman wins on a walk off HR

Freedom defense was outstanding- only 3 errors in 15 innings
28 hits- 13 runs- Very good Dorman team and two great ball games.

Will post more about the games tomorrow

    Conference Begins today!

The first conference games begin today with
    East Burke @ AC Reynolds
    Alexander @ McDowell
    Watauga @ South Caldwell
    Freedom - open

    Any thoughts on these games?

    ACR will win fairly easy--
Alexander over McDowell- McDowell hasn't seen the pitching or hitting that AC can put out there.. And AC has a revenger factor @ McDowell
Watauga over SOuth.... This will be a good game

    South Caldwell 6
    Watagua 3

Cold game tonight!! Starnes pitched fairly well tonight. Wasn't real sharp but was lucky to even be there tonight because of a loss in her imediate family this morning. Courageous effort by her. She struck out 12 and allowed only 1 earned run on 3 hits. SC had 2 errors on routine balls that cost 2 runs. Best team Watagua has ever had.

    JV
    SC 15
    Wat. 5

SC fell behind 5-0 in first inning and came back and didn't allow another run.
