    I believe it has to start with the coach in this particular situation. I have seen him getting these ladies out to see college games and add a little enthusiasm to the team. That has to inspire the girls and hopefully kick start their program. Don't know much about their feeder programs, but hope he takes an initiative there also. To many girls wanting to play to stop now. He may check into seeing that a core group of his team is at least playing summer ball.

    wonderful things are definitely happening in Morganton then.

    i knew i had to take a double-take when they played earlier in year, as they looked well prepared and excited this year!!

    Bright spots in game: Freshman Meg Chapman hits 2 HR's, Freshman Ashley Williamson comes in for injured pitcher Pierce and gets 2 strikeouts to end the game. Great job ladies and stay focused. It gets interesting now. :woot:

    19 April - Alexander Central-2 A.C. Reynolds-1

    WOW what a barnburner! Reynolds held a one run advantage most of the game from a Reynolds bomb. Then Alexander fought back. Great effort by both teams. Hope you enjoyed the game Cometfan.
    The officiating behind the plate stunk to high heaven. Both pitchers had no chance with a roulette wheel strike zone. :banginghe
