Not NW4A

I am just trying to determine where people on this board are from. If you pay attention to this board and are not affiliated with the NW4A, please respond.

I am from Union County and I am trying to determine if it is worth my time paying attention to this board. It appears that there is no interest outside of this one conference.

How can that be changed? Does anyone want it to change? The softball board has done an excellent job of creating a membership with a variety of programs and geographical areas.

Truly you have noticed well. This is mostly a NW4A section.

I'm a CVAC man myself, but admittedly am not as good as I should be about posting scores, etc.

If you want more interest from other conferences, find more parents whose kids play! That being said, I think the majority of the NW4A fans here are older school NW4A guys not just parents!

You are correct that the softball and even baseball forums do a great job. You may have also noticed that football forum is a little bit better about geography/conference breakdowns as well.

I agree Patsfan. I am a CVAC parent also. I would like to see more on our conference also. I still like to keep up with the NW4a since we will probably be in the same conference in a couple years.

 

If Im not mistaken this board is for everyone, not just Northwestern 4A Conference fans. If you want to talk about other conferences and teams, all one has to do is post what you want to talk about.

This is not a complaint - just a request to find out if anyone is paying attention from any other conferences, and especially Mecklenburg and Union Counties. I am envious of the commitment to the NW4A and wish there was an equal level of banter about Meck and Union counties.

Look at the post history. How many are related to areas other than NW4A? I have started 2 threads and only received one reply. Maybe I am just boring!

Very few post are started by people affiliated with a team outside of NW4A. If a post is created, no responses are recevied. However, I certainly have learned a lot about Freedom and McDowell.

 

Awesome....But locally, we keep up with what's going on here first before we branch out to the other areas. And yes, we do mention about other areas from time to time, most of the time to learn more about opponents that might come from that area.

I understand where you are coming from. I used to frequent the Charlotte.com forum board and there were quite a few posters from your area on the prep sports board. However it really died out and I discovered TBR and have been here since. The biggest reason this board is so successful is the work of LarryD and his moderators. Unlike the Charlotte board they keep the prep board civil. That didn't happen on the Charlotte board and the personal attacks got out of hand. As for us in the NW4A BigDan really does a good job keeping everyone involved. You may have noticed our pick um contest. And although we do rant at each other he never let's it get to vulgar and over the top. I hope others in your area will check us out and join us.
