Coaches' behavior following bad calls by blue.

Have seen several very questionable calls, some downright bad. I suppose it's to be commended, but noticed that the coaches do not make a big deal. I'm all for a coach not making an A _ _ of himself in front of everybody, including a national TV audience, but isn't a coach expected to at least question calls enough to keep blue on his toes / let the ump know you are watching?

Does official "LL Baseball" have a rule / policy that basically forbids any questioning of an ump's call?

You want some of blue coach?

I too have seen some calls that were totally wrong....My bet is that LL will not allow any bad behavior due to umps being volunteers and also the imagine of LL on the millions watching on TV.....I did have one showcase coach this weekend that was a real wannabe....not sure if he wanted to be an idiot or a tailhole!!!!!

I'm amazed that 5 umpires could miss a ground ball hit a runner as seen in the GA/VA game. This was the turning point of the game as it was tied and 2 runs scored on this blown call.

I agree, I bet LL officials have put the hammer down on coaches arguing calls; especially the games that are on TV. That organization is super sensitive to criticism---of any kind. They took a beating from the Danny Almonte fiasco and they are tryng to promote an impossible image to live up to.

Have you noticed how calm and instructional the coaches are that are miked when they go to the mound...it's hilarious!

"That's okay, son. That grand slam you gave up put us in a position to show our character. You're throwing great!....try not to throw in the middle of the plate so often"

    "Okay, Dad"

Alot of people don't know this, but all 3rd-base coaches with mikes on have to eat a bowl of Kelloggs Frosted Flakes laced with valium before the game starts.

    Bigger & bigger

This years LL World Series will have the biggest players ever. There have been some tall ones before and some big ones (Biscuit), but I don't think I have ever seen big players like this year before. Several are 6'2" and over 200 lbs.....at 12 years old. I think it will be a story this year....

I haven't seen a totally dominant pitcher yet in the Regional Finals...haven't seen all of the games, but the 15-17 strikeout guy doesn't seem to be out there this year as in the past.

Then wait till you see the So Cal team... one pitcher is 6'2" 210 and throwing 78-80

That team is disgusting and can flat leave the yard 1-9

The kids are getting bigger. One major problem is moving back the age cut off. Most of these bigger kids are 13 and starting 8th grade in a few days. I think they made a huge mistake backing the age up. This is the prime age when they are going through gowing spurts. Between the latest metal $400 bats and teenagers playing on 60 ft bases someone is going to get hurt. Very good players but the 13's need to be playing on 90 ft bases.

    how old really?

hmmm.......check the ole birth certificate I suppose.

And yes, the miked coaches sound like Joe Citizen. I figured they have been sworn to a squeaky clean image.
And I saw that play where the batted ball struck the foot of the baserunner between 2nd & 3rd. 2 runs scored that were the difference in the game.
