I don't know who it is, but I wish he had learned to turn the caps lock off when typing. It's considered rude in internet ettiquette

I believe that person is gone. I always find it strange when someone takes the time to register and their first post says, " you suck....." It's like---why bother:smart:

    Been too long

Wow, what a great thread we have going here. I have not been on TBR in a while and I do regret it. I have agreed with most of the statements made on here. I agree East Rowan will be loaded and should be the favorite with West Rowan coming in a close second. Mooresville and Lake Noman are not far behind if not even. I don't have too much more to say except that I am really ready for baseball season to see how this all unfolds.

Glad to hear from you Westboy. Explain why you put West in front of LN and Mooresville?

    NPC

The NPC is one of the best conferences in the 3A this year. East Rowan and West Rowan are just loaded plain and simple. I honestly just believe that those two teams are going to finish ahead of Mooresville and Lake Norman. This is no disrespect to those two squads or any of the other teams in the NPC, it's just the way I see it. This may not be the way it turns out, but we'll just have to wait and see. Now East did lose some key players from last year's state title runner up team in Trey Holmes (Pitt CC), Justin Roland (UNCC), and Micah Jarrett (WFU). But they have many key compoments returning and they have possibly one of the best pitchers in the state in Corbin Shive anchoring that staff, along with experience in other positions. Zach Smith, Noah Holmes, Ben Decelle, and Austin Shull just to name a few players that were contributors on last year's squad. That experience I think will be enough.

West Rowan, who was young last year, is ready to have the best baseball season since the 2004 season when West made it to the state finals before falling to West Brunswick. Philip Miclat at the top of the batting order will set the table for West's offense. With the additions of Randy Shephard and Jon Crucitti, West Rowan has elevated itself to the elite teams.

Mooresville may be as good as these two teams. Mooresville would probably be tabbed as the favorite in most conferences, it's just the NPC is that good this year. I know guys like Aaron Meadows and Dylan West will have Mooresville in ball games. It's going to be an exciting year of baseball in the NPC and I can't wait to get it under way. Good luck to all the teams as the season quickly approaches.

I see East @ the top, but West Rowan, Mooresville and Lake Norman about even. Crucitti and Shepherd definitely help West Rowan.

Mooresville has an extremely talented JV group who could have beaten many Varsity squads last year moving up to supplement the only 2 sophmores who played part of a Varsity season last year in Mooresville. The rising Juniors and Sophmores have played together since they were 9-10 years old. The juniors have a combined 56-3-1 record since the 7th grade in Middle School baseball. The sophmore class has only lost 1 game since the 7th grade. That is pretty impressive. Besides being excellent talent they are all friends and have each others back and want to win and know what it takes to win. Mooresville is 2 and sometimes 3 deep at every position. Mooresville bats will win games this year. Our pitching has been hurt losing Meadows and Beaver, but we have Ian Walters, Aaron Meadows, Chris Bonaventure, Brett Compton, Wes Dumford, Jeffrey Mason, Keith Little, and Hunter Nanney to complement our starters. 3 lefties and the balance in righties. We will have to pitch by committee but the bats will be tough and will win games on hitting. Defensively we are as solid or more solid than we have ever been with Dylan West, Nathan Abraham, Jacob Mays and possibly Josh Skidmore and Jake Beaver both sophmores. Jake Beaver, Chris's younger brother can hit with his eyes closed and I expect him to make a huge impact. He is by far one of the best pure hitters I have ever seen.

Lake Norman can win on pitching alone and I know most of their players and they will be tough to beat period. They have great athletes Nick Lamiscola, Manser, Nick Keith, Tyler Lewis, that will produce. Joe Faice is actually finally ready to catch after years of injuries.

West Rowan pitching has Shelpherd, Simpson, Webb, White, Huffman, Horton and sorry don't know anymore. It will be a great year. I love the catcher for West the way he pops out. Miclat starting hitting bombs in Legion ball and he is now a senior leader on that team. Crucitti adds an awesome bat and he is a worth an extra run in any game, plus the kid will climb a wall for any coach. We will miss him but Jon made the right move for football and nobody at Mooresville blames him for that. He is one heck of an athlete.

Good luck to all the schools! This conference will be great to watch this year. Only 1 more week and we kick things off.

    Westboy,

I am assuming you know that East also added Robbie and David Ijames to their lineup? I feel the same as you with West moving up to #2. I think Mooresville losing their top 2 pitchers will hurt even though they have a lot of talent. I think the NPC will have 4 very talented teams at the top and even NWC will be talented as well.
