Both pitchers for lake norman did a good job but they did not throw anything that could not be hit. Mooresville as a team is having trouble hitting the ball!!! Mooresville made 3-4 base running mistakes against lake norman and lake norman made them payfor it. Mooresville have made base running mistakes all year long. Most of the time they have overcome the mistakes and are a good and young team. Just do not know how far a two man pitching rotation will carry them in playoffs? Good luck to both teams in the playoffs!!!!!

Mooresville wins 4-2 over NWC. That gives them the outright championship. Aubrey Meadows (08) pitched a gem. Mooresville struggled at the plate and made a few errors, but hustle put pressure on NWC defense and forced some costly errors that scored. Overcash pitched pretty well but was tagged with the loss. They have found a pretty solid 3rd starter in Compton, a jv call up and rumor has it Beaver isn't far from towing the rubber.

Glad to hear that Mooresville wins outright. First time in 22 years and won it all with a very young team. Compton is a very good pitcher and he will help alot. It would be nice if Beaver could help out during the playoffs and give the team a big lift. Mooresville will need to HIT the ball and not make so many base running mistakes to advance. Wish Mooresville the best and I hope they will go far into the playoffs.

I'm happy for the team and head coach Jeff Burchett. Jeff is a good man and very deserving. Good luck Blue Devils in the post season!

Mooresville as a team has not been hitting as well as they were earlier this year. Soph N. Abraham leads the team and Beaver 2nd in BA but he is in a slump right now. We are hitting bad pitches. However, we are not making some smart baseball decisions at times. I have seen every game this year and 3 bunt attempts all year by this team and they still won the conference. We have hit into tons of double plays when it was entirely un-necessary however it's easy to coach from the sidelines and 2nd guess. I don't mean to do that as I'm a big supporter of the BB program at Mooresville. I'm happy for the guys and will be there Friday night, I just hope they keep focusing on winning as a team instead of individual performance.

PS. Beaver thru bullpen yesterday at State Game tryouts and thru strikes both FB and BB. Working consistant @ 84-86 on the gun. Aaron 84, Aubrey 84. Pitching is going to be a gem next year with all starters either Junior or younger + you have the freshman class getting another year of JV under their belts to be ready their JR year.

    Peace

Great pitching last night from Ryan Overcash (NWC) and Garrett Braun (Lake Norman) but unfortunately they both lost 1-0.

Only West Rowan advances out of the NPC to the next round.

Congrats to great seasons by Carson and Mooresville. Carson will only get better and Mooresville should be a heavy favorite to repeat as NPC champs next year.

    NEXT UP: Legion Ball!
