Meadows just pitched against East Rowan on Saturday. He threw a lot of pitches so I don't think there is any way he goes again today.

Beaver will probably pitch for Mooresville. Overcash for NW. Should be a dandy. Don't count NW out with Overcash on the hill. Last year Mooresville owned him, but another year this year.

As for NW beating N. Iredell and W. Rowan. N. Iredell is middle of the road in our conference. I believe West is down but not out.... They are extremely young with alot of sophmores doing some duty.

Also Mooresville JV gets their 2nd game of the season this week. We have had 4 rainouts. They are also strong.

    Last night...

Lake Norman lost to Carson and Lake Norman JV lost to Carson.

    Today

Lake Norman at home vs E. Rowan. East should not have any problems this game. Interesting who will pitch for LKN because they have Mooresville on Friday and Lamo is always tought against Mooresville as he beat them twice last year. I bet he rests today and pitches against Mville on Friday.

Mooresville also against Cherryville tomorrow, both JV and Varsity.

    Good Luck this week everyone.

South Rowan over Carson today 7-6 improving to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the conference.

South jumped up 7-0, but Carson fought back to make it close and stranded the tying run on 1st to end the game.

Big Game Friday in Granite Quarry

    South Rowan @ East Rowan

Both teams are 4-0 right now in the NPC. East has beaten West Iredell, Carson, Mooresville, and Lake Norman. South has beaten WI, Carson, Statesville, and Northwest Cabarrus. East was the favorite coming into the year and has done nothing to change that, especially considering they beat Mooresville last Saturday. South was probably considered to finish somewhere between 3rd and 5th, but after handling NWC easily, they have a chance to take control of the conference if they can steal one at Staton on Friday.

Can somebody (probably either RO/CO or travisunc) say who will be pitching for East on Friday? Will it be Roland or has Shive recovered enough to start on the hill? It appears Ryan Bostian will start for South. He has given up 0 unearned runs combined in starts vs. North Rowan and Statesville, but of course, those teams are not East Rowan.

Should be a good one and hopefully the weather will hold off and it will be a great day to watch a baseball game.

I will e-mail Coach Hightower or someone at the Post later today and see if they know yet. Shive has been closing until his shoulder is full strength. It may be Trey Holmes. I heard they were calling up a jayvee pitcher to throw tonight at North Davidson. Nothing like being thrown into the fire! That being said, Roland would be available on full rest.
