Mooresville beats South Rowan 5-2. Ian Walters gets the win. Wes Dumford the save. Aaron Meadows(Catawba) continues his hot streak!

Also, way to go Lake Norman. Good squad playing great!

Anyone find it odd West didn't throw Shepherd or Simpson? Webb has been semi effective, but if you know you are going to face Lomo.....What is West Rowan's record now?

Nope, they have not won a game yet. Don't find it odd at all.

Care to elaborate? Are you saying it was a poor coaching move which is why they are 0-6, or the coach was trying to shake things up to get them off the snide?

No offense to Webb, but I Simpson and Shepherd are West's aces and would have given them the best chance to keep the game close.

In no way was I trying to say it was poor coaching. Wright is a great coach. I think he was trying to shake it up some because DJ has been effective at getting batters out without walking too many.

I do disagree though that saying if Simpson or Shepherd were pitching it would've kept it close. In my opinion just because your throw the ball harder does not make you a better pitcher. Now on potential with Simpson and Shepherds size, yes their upside in college is better than most in our conference. However right now when it counts it ain't happening so Wright probably tried something different.

Actually travis, I've only seen 2 WR games this year (Mooresville and East), but IMO based on performance on the field, starting Webb was as good a choice as starting either of the other 2. He earned it.

Thanks PMIC and TJ. Just trying to find some answers. Things are a mess over there right now. I know there schedule has been tough, but I thought they could at worst be .500 at this point. Lake Norman seems to be playing really well right now.

From what i had heard DJ had been pitching well and getting guys out at east and mooresville. Maybe coach wright thought a shakeup could get them up and running and start a win streak. Dj didnt pitch bad after a ruff first inning. Wildcats just came out slugging in the first inning and added bits and pieces as the game went on.
