NPC Tournament Scores (Upset Special)

A tough way to lose for the Trojans. NWC had the bases loaded twice with no outs and only got 1 run as a result. (once on a triple play) :banginghe . The score was knotted 0-0 after 3 innings with Nick Daniels providing the game's only hit up to that point when Lake Norman struck for 4 runs in the 4th courtesy of some walks and fielding errors (a dropped force and a rundown at home). AJ Kindley, doing his best Dan Quisenberry imitation, got out of numerous jams to complete the victory. LN's Forrest Williams also added a HR in the 5th. Lake Norman scored 5 runs on 2 base hits. This was not NWC's night. The Trojans had only 4 hits but had 5 batters that were hit by pitches.
Congrats to Lake Norman though, a job well done.

Kannapolis advances to the NPC championship game against either Lake Norman or Mooresville.

Kannapolis took leads of 1-0 and 2-1, only to see West take a 4-2 lead into the 5th. Hatley and Hartley both hit solo home runs for West somewhere in there (one of them bounced off the right fielder's glove and over the fence, we could sure use a bounce like that). Then Garrett Sherrill and Eddie Boger hit back-to-back solo shots in the 5th (Garrett's third of the tourney) to tie it up. Then in the top of the seventh, Michael Boger led off with a single, Garrett walked, and Eddie Boger sacrificed them to second and third. However, the umps cleared the field because of lightning. After about 30 minutes, play resumed, and Ryan Query singled in 1 run and Justin Thompson hit a 2-run double to put the Wonders up 7-4, and Garrett finished off the complete game with a 1-2-3 7th. Entertaining game!!!

The championship game on Thursday is essentially a playoff game for the Wonders and LN/Mville, with the winner getting the NPC #2 seed and the loser staying home for the playoffs. West is bumped to the NPC #3 and will have to go to the Tri-County #1 (E. Randolph I assume).

 

MOORESVILLE VS. LAKE NORMAN CALLED AFTER ONE INNING BECAUSE OF WEATHER. THE SCORE WAS 0 TO O. THE GAME WILL PICK BACK UP TOMORROW AT 7:00.

 

Hope someone will post the Mooresville/Lake Norman score tonight. Curious to see who the WONDERS have to play with everything on the line.

Not a joke!!

Kannapolis vs Lake Norman tomorrow night at 7pm for the NPC Championship and the #2 seed in the playoffs!

Can you NPC guys give me the score on the last regular season game between Lake Norman and Statesville?

Can't seem to find it anywhere!

 

E. Randolph will be a tough team from what I hear. West Rowan could have a difficult time with them, but only time will tell. Who has taken the number 3 seed in that conference? Ragsdale or SE Guilford?- Piedmont plays Tri - County #3 in the first round
