NSA vs ASA NC State Tournaments

Just a thought, Looking at the teams entered in the 18U NSA State in
Rock Hill, SOUTH CAROLINA, There were 20 teams there that could have been @ the ASA State in Cary. The state of NC only gets National ASA
bids based on participation. We as a group should try to focus on getting
more NC teams involved with the ASA program to help ALL of the NC
players get more exposure from a larger audience of college coaches.
If more girls go to the big programs, that leaves more spots for the local schools and players.
aka : more college scholarships for our NC girls.
No Doubt !! NC girls can compete on the Ntl Level. We just need births !
WE the state of NC could have had close to 40 teams at the ASA if we could all unite for this cause. You can still play in the NSA world, just send in the check ...Ha Ha
Yes...The teams at the ASA are very tough , that's what it's all about.
The Cobras are mostly 2008 girls and they competed in every game and finnished a strong 3rd. I know that there were several real strong teams at the RHill deal that would have been very competetive.
    Just a thought ?

    ASA

The Blues and Cardinals have been pursuing the ASA berths for years, glad other organizations are doing the same.

    ACC Schools Recruiting

State and Carolina will always recruit nationally. It's necessary to compete in the ACC. Both have done a pretty good job locally, also. Heck, my DD played against one CAA team this spring with 12 girls from west of the Mississippi on the roster and only one girl from the state in which the public university was located. ECU has four scholarship players coming this fall; three are from Hawaii (that's right, Hawaii!) and one is from Cali. On balance state and carolina do give NC talent a fair shake.
