I agree the freshman kid is a good ballplayer. I also think South has one of the best third baseman in the league with Jon Grey. Solid defense and good power at the plate.
Watuaga will be another team that can suprise some people. Although they will be young look for them to get some suprise wins due to the fact they always will play you hard especially south and AC.
Hickory I would have to say has the best pitching in the conference with 3 signed pitchers but not sure about what else they have.
Saint I know has the left handed hitting first baseman who is a tough out and Gant on the bump, they will be tough.
AC is returning alot of their starters from last year and probably have one of the best catchers in the league. Can be solid defense but it will depend on how they hit the ball

I couldnt agree more! Due to the fact that AC once again has another coach, believe they will continue to give the conference a run for their money! Pitching staff will definitely be the key for AC to be top contenders! The catcher - Lukas LaSalle - just a Junior - but has already verbally committed to Appalachian! Strong kid, hits the ball hard, strong arm, great speed. Not only can he play behind the plate - he's fun to watch in the outfield as well! Wishing the Cougars the best of luck this season!
