    South Caldwell Beat Hickory 5-4

    Alexander Beat Hibriten 6-1

    WHS Beat Saint Stephens 9-8 in 13

    WHS trailed by 1 with 2 outs bottom 12, when Max Linnville hit a homerun to left, his 2nd of the game to tie it.

    WHS vs Saint Stephens Box Score and Plays. Just read some of the crazy plays in this game, it was unbelievable.

    Watauga Pioneer Baseball 2010 Northwestern 4A/3A Champions (Shared with South) but the #1 Seed in next weeks NW4A/3A Tournament.

    play in right center field on the warning track. right fielder catches it, CF dives behind him. homeplate umpire, his call never moves from behind the plate and makes no call. nobody on base so no rush from the RF to get it in. runner keeps running because there is no call, gets an inside-the-park homerun that ties the game at 7 instead of being out number 2 in the the 8th with Saint up by a run.

    coach goes out, and the umpire changes his explanation 2 different times. said he never saw the CF catch the ball. of course he didnt because the RF caught it. then said he saw the ball hit the ground when the RF handed the ball to the CF. coach wasn't leaving until he changed the call or threw him out. just sticking up for his kids.

    not the sole reason for the loss, but still a horrible call at a very crucial point in the game
