    Just to make sure

So when you said maybe a little better, did you mean better than Pope or did you mean she had just gotten better. If latter then my bad. I know I've seen both pitch alot. This league this year is loaded with good pitchers, but it does come down to other things also (like coaching, small ball, defense, injuries and yes 43 feet will make it interesting.

I have to agree with Ghostrider on this one. If Hibriten's other pitcher is alittle better than Pope then why didn't she pitch the Big Games? He does have a point...

I'll have to defend scfan a little here. He was just giving me the info I ask for in starting this thread. And what you have to realize is the girl who was maybe not better last year is a year older now and maybe a year better. Plus as ghostrider stated 43' this year some who excelled at 40 want be as good at 43 while others may be more effective. I don't think any of us will be able to compare last year to this year no matter who the pitcher or the team. At 43 we are gonna see much more offense and not nearly as much domination by teams with "just" a pitcher. With the exception of the couple teams in the state who have super dominating pitchers you will need a little offense to win game this year more than in the past. Me I like it.
On a side note I really wish whoever brought up this subject hadn't done so. I started this thread to hopefully get everyones insight as to what all the teams have not to have personal felling brought out on an emotional subject. Please lets move on and have no more talk on this or I will close this thread myself.
    Thank you

I agree with you central-d.. I think Ghost rider was just asking a ? because we both faced Pope everytime we played them. He wasn't trying to start anything.. I know he is ready and me also to get the year started.. It should be FUN!!!

Agree. Now getting to us at AC think of it like this if you have 2 fairly equal pitchers but one makes the team better by playing a different position that is the way to go. You can get by with one pitcher in hs ball as long as they stay healthy. We are a perfect example of that. I honestly think we have the 2 best pitchers in the conference and not a huge difference in the 2 but our number 2 girl will probablly never pitch a game but may be a starter at another position as this will make us a better TEAM. This happens with a lot of hs teams. Now in tb you need to pitch more than one girl as more games in a short period of time

I am the father of the other girl who has never been more proud of his daughter . She is a real good ball player but the best thing is she knows how to talk to God. My daughter loves Pope and continues to pray for Pope recovery as we all should. Her name is Kristen.

I believe Hibriten will be very strong this year with some good hitters and fielding. The girls played all summer the best I seen them play they have really come together as a team and have a desire to win for Pope. I hope Pope can be in the dugout with them.

    Kristen

Don't get me wrong I know Kristen is a good ballplayer (I've seen her play enough). I was just asking about last year because everytime we play ya'll we always faced Pope. Anyway I wish ya'll the best of luck this year, everytime St Stephens and Hibriten plays it is a nailbitter. I'm sure all the games in the NW 3a-4a will be that way.
