Yea it would be better but someone told me that AC still has a chance to make the playoffs as a wildcard....Can someone tell me if that is true.

The cut off right now for an at large is right at eight wins. ACHS will either be the last team in or the first team out IMO.

I heard that AC and Independence has the same record. and that AC will get the wc due to the fact that AC finished 4th in conf and Ind finished last. Is there any truth to that?

According to the SW4A site Independance is 8-13 which would mean ACHS would be .5 game in front of them anyway. I just don't know about other teams.

Indy lost to Butler last night to drop to 8-13.

Wild cards are based upon winning percentage, not place in conference.

Indy does play again tonight (Providence).

Right now I have the wild card teams as: ACR or East Burke (who ever does not get the 4th seed in the NW4A) .600; South Meck .542; East Meck .455; High Point Central; .450; Alexander Central .400.

I am not sure on JM Robinson's record from the MECA. RJ Reynolds is 9-14 (.391) and may have a game left. An Independence win would move them to at least .409.

    Watauga 9
    East Burke 4

    WP: Cal Hardee
    LP: Kyle Van Horn

Watauga got down 3-0 in the top of the first, but a leadoff triple by Baine Martin started Watauga's bats and they put up a couple runs in the bottom half. EB's pitcher started getting wild and hit some batters which allowed Watauga to stretch the lead and go on to win the game. Watauga improved to 17-6 on the year and will face South Caldwell in the championship game tonight at MS Deal Stadium in Granite Falls.

    Baine Martin: 3-5 3B, 2B, 3 SB
    Adam Church: 2-3 2B, HR, 2RBI
    Cal Hardee: 2-5 3RBI
    David Martin: 1-1 1RBI

Be careful on figuring out the Wild Card's because those overall records are taken at the end of the regular season..
