Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
Well, the first half is over and what an exciting half it was. As the second half of the conference race starts let's hear how you think the games will come out tonight. Here are my thought's on tonights games.....

    A. C. Reynolds at East Burke.....

Reynolds travels for the final time prior to the season ending game with McDowell on Feb. 13th, so the need to pick up this win before heading home for 4 straight conference home games. Coming off a big win over McDowell, I look for ACR to come out a little flat, and not as focused as they should be in the first half before finally getting it together in the second half to pull away and win by 20 to 25.

    McDowell at Alexander Central.......

POOR Alexander Central! Man, McDowell is coming off the loss to Reynolds and someone has to pay, Alexander Central seems to be in the line of fire! McDowell will have this one put away when they get off the bus, or at least during warmups, but seriously, McDowell by at least 35 maybe 45! I bet Anna Atkinson has a hell of a ballgame as well.

    South Caldwell at Watauga.....

South Caldwell has a very good team, but Watauga seems to play well at home. If South isn't ready for this one Watauga can make it interesting, however South has too much talent for Watauga to pull out the win. Look for South to go to Boone and win, but I suspect they will be in a dog fight in the first half before pulling away to a 25 point win.

Good luck to all the teams, and let's hope the second half of the season is as fun as the first, and that all the girls stay healthy! :xyzwave:

i think the acr - east burke game will be closer...

and i don't think south will win by more than 15 up in boone, if that... this is one that watauga could steal, but i too think south should come out on top

McDowell bounces back from Tuesday's loss with a 68-28 win at Alex. Central. Both Lovik and Atkinson scored 10. Aimee Kiser had 14 points.

Reynolds did come out a little out of sync...but just on defense. ACR didn't play well in the first quarter, giving up 22 points while falling behind to East Burke 22-17. The Lady Rockets did recover and take the lead at half 28-26, and totally dominated the second half to win easily 73-50. ACR was up by as much as 28 late in the 4th. ACR was lead by Brianna Worley's 20 points, Sydney Alexander had 15 and Alex Thompson's 14. The Lady Rockets hit 8 threes tonight including 3 each by Worley and Thompson. East Burke was lead by Helton who had 11 points. Good road win for the Lady Rockets who now have 4 big home games before the battle with McDowell in Marion. Can't overlook anyone either, or that last game will mean nothing!
