    Forestview---72
    Freedom-----68

Close game throughout, got down by 11 with 6 to go. Cut lead to one point with one minute.
Forestview is for real, overall better than TCR(IMO).
Jessica Capers (West Virginia Signee) had 26.
Ford led FHS with 25, Connelly with 19, Jewell Walker with 15.
Very good atmosphere- this was a playoff type game that will help us down the road, could've won, just got out-rebounded too much tonight.

    Host Owen on Friday night

Wasn't Forestview also at the pre-season scrimmage? If so I didn't get a chance to see them play. What position on the floor does Capers play?

I saw on WLOS tonight where Roberson beat AC Reynolds by about 15 points...Reynoldsrocks, if you were there give us a rundown on the game.

They were, I think ahe was hurt- or one of their kids was out. They have a good point guard and shooting guard and then Capers plays power forward/center. She's pretty tough, they will give TC and Hickory a major run for the 3A Western Crown

As I stated earlier Forestview is always a decent team. They have a good program year in and year out. Sounds like they are tough again this year. We have a game with them in a couple weeks. Looks like it will be a good test for Parhams little girls. That is the kind of teams I like to see us play.

Mitchell has a sophmore guard named Lakin Norris who may be one of the better underclassmen in the mountains. Plus throw in a few McKinney's and Burlesons and you got a team. Mitchell will be a good team in 2A and but overall we got too much fire power for the Lady Mountaineers tonight. This game should help Mitchell for later on in their season.

Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
As for the ACR/TCR game last night, well thank goodness ACR has Sophomores and Freshmen on the team as they combined for 45 of ACR's 52 points. Freshman Stephanie Cabral (yes, the LB's sister)scoring 17 and Sophomores Karlee Taylor scoring 13, Whitney Brinkley 10 and Michelle Lopez added 5. The Rockets came out and played well for most of the first half being tied at 24 with 3 minutes to go, but then just couldn't put the ball in the hoop for the rest of the half and trailed by 12 heading into the locker room. They got down by as many as 22 in the 3rd quarter but had cut it to 8 and rimmed out a 3pointer with a minute to go that would have cut it to 5. They fouled from there on and it produced the final margin.

Personally I think Whitney Brinkley needs to touch the ball more, she is a force down low. ACR played good defense on TCR's Copney and Manley holding them to a combined 8 points, but just couldn't score enough.

Dont forget about other potential players that would be named Silvers and Buchanan...:rolleyes5:...McKinney, Burleson, Silvers, Buchanan - yep, sounds like a team from Mitchell to me!
