NW4A: Non-Conference Week 3

Watauga beat West Caldwell last night but I forgot the score. It was a blowout. WHS is getting better, comeout and support the team and get some excitement in the stands. The atmosphere this year was insane for football and we are trying to improve it for hoops. The girls really are working hard and so is Coach Dixon. They are some of the most wonderful people you will ever meet and they need you to come out and get excited about them.

I do support the girls at WHS. They do play hard but not always together. If they can get that fixed, they could be good. Llike you said they beat West Caldwell by 30+ Could have and probably should have been by more.

Watauga will be at Myers Park this evening. It was not cancelled although the junior varsity will play with a running clock so we can get home at a decent hour. It took me 2 hours to get from WHS to my house last night. Usually in the summer it takes 7-10 minutes tops. I was sideways in the road twice and it was a disaster. Ohh well, 1 hour and 45 minutes and counting until we head to el Charlotte.

Most JV teams could beat West Caldwell or Hibriten by 30 so I wouldn't put much stock in the score of a game with either one of any amount...unless you lose to them...then there's some issues.

Not that it matters-- but are there any Western NC teams still undefeated besides Hickory, Freedom and Shelby??? Just wondering.

 

According to the Asheville Citizen-Times North Buncombe (5-0), Franklin (4-0), Smoky Mountain (4-0), Mitchell (3-0), and Polk County (4-0) are all undefeated.
