I enjoyed watching this game. Both teams played hard, and played good defense. I don't think either has enough offensive firepower to offset McDowell. I'm interested to see how Freedom looks this year. I know Ford is putting up big numbers.

BigDan, what was the scoring breakdown for the Lady Titans?

    Where are the Watauga/SC people???

Looks like Tony might take the early lead?

Concerning the EB/ACR game, Roberts played well, and little #10 is going to be good for ACR. Nelson stood out to me for EB, and the lefty hit some big shots. She's got a sweet shot from 3 point land.

Whitaker didn't have the best of luck tonight with the ball going in the basket. I noticed she handles the ball well for a post player, though. One thing RR, some of those players were reluctant to shoot, maybe because they're young. They need to go ahead and put it up when they are open. Did you go to the game?

No I wasn't able to get there tonight, however I have seen some of the younger girls not shooting the ball at other times this year also. I didn't expect this team to win a lot of road conference games against the better teams, however when they are at home I wouldn't be suprised to see them pull off an upset. They have talent and play good defense typically, but they will make their share of mistakes. They seem to like playing at home so far though.

    McDowell 101
    Alex. Central 40

    Washington 25 pts
    Hamilton 16
    Ward 14
    Gellman 12
    Smith 11

Kurie scored 25 and could had easily scored 40 tonight, she missed about 5 foul shots and missed two or three lay-ups early. She also had three from behind the arc that were "in and out". All in all, it was a bad shooting night for Kurie and she still scored 25 just beating the Lady Cougars down court. I can't wait to see her numbers the first time she has to play 26-32 minutes in a game.
