not trying to ruffle any feathers but I think South Caldwell has been the beneficiary of a "soft" schedule. You look at their games, the games they win are by big margins while the games they lose are by more than just a few points. The Lady Spartans were scoring 70-80-90 points against teams like Hibriten, but when they play a more quality team, their point production is in the 50's and 60's. If South wants a shot at the conference crown they need to beat the upper tier of the conference. Tonight was a start for them, and a win tuesday night at McDowell would go a long ways.

I was just getting ready to post that you had probably taken the lead, then I saw the standings. I've got to do better! :229031_ha

Also, when you jack up 70-80 shots a game, you'll get about 60-70 points. Against Hibriten, West Caldwell and the other teams that arent as good, maybe more to get those 80-90 ppg.

A case in point, last year, you guys shot 29% but managed to score 59 points. SC has never had great FG percentage.

RR23, great job as always with your site. Looking at next weeks games, Reynolds and McDowell has the chance to break apart from the rest of the conference and make this a two team race going into the second half of the conference season. I think we'll see next week if Freedom can overcome this early struggle in conference play and if South Caldwell is going to be a legit threat.

Ive often tried to get RR23 to make a site devoted nothing but NW4A Athletics. With his resources, it would be top notch!

I don't mean to throw fuel on the fire, but isn't it the coach's responsibility to make sure the right people are on the floor? I coached for years and I always accepted that responsibility. Don't get me wrong, I think Coach Fox is a good coach and I think she will grow over the years... all that said, it was a mistake... a HUGE MISTAKE.

I did notice at the AC Reynolds/Freedom game the other night that Freedom had hardly ANY fans there to support their teams. I was wondering the same thing as well. I wondered if something was going on down there where the fans have decided to quit supporting the teams because of "other" reasons i.e. coaches, administration, or something of that nature. There definately is no "home" court advantage in Morganton any longer!
