What is the pitching going to be like this year in the NW4A...I know that there are a few guys that will be throwing upper 80's and low 90's but how do yall think the pitching will stack up against the hitting this year?

Pitching in the NW4A should dominate the hitting. With pitchers like Bumgarner-SC, Howell-ACR, Runion-ACR, Poovey-SC, Messer-SC, Harrington-AC, plus McDowell has a good right hander that is a Soph. Then Watauga will have some kids that will suprise some people. The hitting in the NW4A has been down a little expect a lot of close games but South and ACR should have the advantage.

    South and Reynolds should dominate!

I don't necessarily think that the pitching will dominate the hitting throughout the conference. I do think that Bumgarner, Gragg from South Caldwell and Runion, Howell from Reynolds will dominate most everyone. I know there are a few other pretty good pitchers, but not dominating.I don't know how Harrington's arm is.I seen him pitch last year and he wasn't that impressive. Also the lefty from Watauga is pretty good.Reynolds and South Caldwell have very good hitters and I don't think that they will be dominated by anyone in conference. Those two teams should do most of the dominating!

    watauga

Yeah the anderson kid from watauga moved to Venice, Flordia...They are playing with one pitcher that had any varsity experience last year...I do think they will challenge hitters if the work is put in but it could be intresting...

If anybody can elevate a kid's game then Pete Hardy is one that can do it. I'm assuming he's still at Watauga.

I doubt that Pete Hardee will be going anywhere soon. He had flirted with a college position, but Coach Hardee is Watauga. It wouldn't seem right that he would go anywhere else.........but

I sure would like to see him in Charlotte

I heard Freedom had a chance at Hardee at one time in the not too distant past. That's something I wish had come to pass. But rumors being what they are, there's no telling if it's true or not. He's without a doubt one of the better coaches around. Especially for motivating his players.

Hes not going anywhere. Coach Hardee is Watauga high. Plus his son is currently a junior and his other son is a rising freshmen next year. He is not going to make them move.
