Johnson pitcked against St Stephens and Pierce against North Davidson. Both had shutouts and only gave up a couple of hits. Both are Freshmen.
Noth Davidson used a Sophmore and ACHS only had a couple of hits.

    McDowell @ St. Stephens

McDowell plays at St. Stephens today. Unfortunately basketball is over, which means Erin May should start at SS for McDowell. Well see if McDowell can bounce back from their lopsided losses to Enka now that they are at full strength.

    Varsity starts @ 4:00 PM
    JV to follow!

Good Luck to you Tarheel Titan....Let me know the outcome...I hope McDowell does bounce back...St. Stephens has a good ballclub...Catcher hits to either side of the field...Or at least she did against Owen....

Made the ride over to this game today and saw 2 very good teams. The SC girls can really hit. 2 home runs and every girl on the team hit the ball hard at least once. I didn't see any of them with bad swings. The E. Lincoln girls hit the ball well off the first pitcher South had but the girl that came in around the forth inning did a good job. A very good defensive game with only one error that I can remember. This was a fun game to watch and both these teams should do very well this year.
Also I saw where St. Stephens won 6-2 over Mcdowell.

Watauga's defense still faultered, but the hitting came through. Catcher Jadi Seiz's three run home run, Watauga's first ever over the fence, tied the game in the six. Watauga scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. First baseman, Brittany Beach nearly accomplished that feat two innings earlier, as she lined a double off the left centerfield fence.
