You guys have a good little team and should do well in the conference and the playoffs! I truely enjoyed the facilities and the game. Nice and hope to see ya'll during the Easter tournament! Thanks for your insight on the game and the players, hope Pritchard's thumb will heal without surgery(always a nagging injury).

    Watauga 0

The game was scoreless going to the fifth. Watauga had a chance early as Brittany Beach led off the second with a triple, but the Pioneers couldn't push the run across. Ashe scored in the 5th and then scored 3 unearned runs in the 6th. Excellent pitching dual as Shelton (WHS) recorded 9 strikeouts and Richardson (ACHS) had 11. Big crowd in Boone. South Caldwell comes to Boone for Tuesday's conference opener.

CFball, I also made the trip up to South Caldwell Thursday and really like the facilities. They have done a lot of work up there. The nw4a can be proud that they have 2 of the nicest parks in the state in South Caldwell and Alexander Central for their girls to play at. Nw4a Conference action starts with the Mcdowell and Alexander game on Monday. Everyone else plays on Tuesday. From what games I have seen and heard of this year SC should be the team to beat and don't overlook AC Reynolds. Alexander will contend just don't know if they have enough for these two only time will tell.
