I heard that Payne threw a no-hitter. That's great! I also heard that the JV pitcher, i believe Dustin Harrington, did the same thing. That's a very good way to start out the season for both teams. :applause: :xyzthumbs

    ACHS - 8
    Davie - 3

Kelly McLain started on the mound for the Cougars with Calvin Teague coming in relief. AC didn't get the bats rolling until the 6th, when they scored 3 runs. 4 more runs were added in the 7th. Scott Hall, Calvin Teague, Brandon Kinniard, and Jordan Hefner hit the ball well. The Cougars are now 6-0 and take on AC Reynolds at home on Friday.

Since when did Davie get into the NW4A. That's good to hear that AC is still undefeated. Sounds like they could very well contend for a state championship.

It's a non-conference game for AC. Always good competition in any sport against Davie!

    GO COUGARS!!

    AC Reynolds - 3

    WP - Corbett

The Cougars blasted the ball tonite, starting off the game with 4 runs in the 1st. Corbett pitched a pretty good game.

Courage is FEAR, that said it's PRAYERS.
Didn't hurt that Reynolds committed 9 errors on the game did it? Reynolds was just down 4-3 heading into the bottom of the 5th when the bottom fell out!

HMMMMMMM, so game much closer than score indicated. Isn't Reynolds playing kinda young this year? I know they were in the fall. Young teams play much better the 2nd time through the conference schedule.
