That can't be, I was at the game and left during the 4th inning and AC Reynolds was up 12-0. How did they lose a run?

You saw the jv score probably. ACR up 10-1 with bases loaded and no out. Outfield was pulled in to have a chance to keep the winning run from scoring. Ball hit past the outfielders. Once the 11th run was score the game was over, watauga infielders coming off the field. The runners kept running the bases. But, unless I'm mistaken, the game is over once the 11th run came in and all other runners touched the base ahead. That's why I gave the 11-1 score.

No didn't see the JV game at all, I was there for the VARSITY game! The paper reports AC Reynolds winning 14-1 as well. So I guess I as correct in reporting that score.

    Score by innings
    ...............1.2.3.4.5.Total
    Watauga...0.0.0.1.0.....1
    ACR..........6.0.0.4.1/4..11/14

I'm not trying to upset you, or argue with you. I was just pointing out that you might have seen the jv score since ACR was up 12-0 in the jv game. They were never up 12-0 in the varsity game. It was 6-1 going to the bottom of the 4th. Again after the 11th run crossed the plate Watauga's outfield chased the ball as AC Reynolds continued to run the bases, but the infield started off the field because the game should be over at that point. Watauga can get a triple play after the runners reach the base ahead and the game is still over. So, if you and your newspaper want to count the three runs that came across after several of the players left the field and the Watauga coach coming out to shake hands, then by all means, count the three runs. 11-1 or 14-1 who cares, it's not like we're talking 4-1 or 2-1. AC Reynolds has a very good team, and played very well and took care of Watauga easily. Good luck to you guys throughout the year.

    AC @ Unicoi, Tenn

AC played a doubleheader at Unicoi Sat.

    AC - 4
    Unicoi - 1
Alot of hitting and some UC errors helped AC get up in the 1st and hold on.
Emily Pierce was the winning pitcher with 13 k's.

    AC - 4
    Jefferson County - 5
AC let errors settle in during this game with highlight for AC was a 7th inning 4 run rally with Tonya Elder getting a 3 run shot out of the park.

    AC is now 8 - 2

    GO COUGARS!!
