I know this thread is for nw4a scores but I just wanted to report on two former nw4a players from South Caldwell. Just talked to a proud pappa who told me that Heather Benfield and Stephanie Winebarger both freshman at Lees-Mcrae had made the CVAC All-Conference team. Heather as a 2nd baseman and Stephanie as a utility player. I watched both these girls at SC for 4 years and no one has ever worked any harder to improve their game. Congratulations go out to both girls.
Now as the second half of the conference is starting AC Reynolds and Alexander are tied for first place with SC only 1 game back. All three teams still have to play each other. Should be a good finish as all the other teams in the conference could pull off a win with these three and really mix things up. Good luck to all the nw4a teams

Our schedule says 4:00 at ACR. That would be Varsity first.

    AC @ AC Reynolds

    Varsity

    AC - 3 (13 - 2)
    ACR - 1

Good pitching dual despite the blue guy behind the plate not letting them pitch. Leah Krohn hit inside park HR scoring 2.

This game should not have been this close. The SC girls must still be on Easter break mentally. This was the worst job of running bases I think I've ever seen.

EB won the jv game but I Don't know the final score

    Watauga 5
    Freedom 4

Freedom looked to be much improved from earlier in the year. Watauga played well except for struggling at the plate some. Freedom played very well throughout the game. Freedom led 4-2 going to the top of the 7th where Watauga's bats came alive and scored 3 times.

    Watauga JV 5
    Freedom JV 3

Good game between two jv teams.

Watauga wins a close one in the 7th inning. They were down 4-2 going into the top of the 7th and win 5-4.
    Watauga JV win 5-3
