I do not know the score, but EBHS defeated ACHS....my daughter was there and it sounded like a 15 or so point win for the Cavs.

Freedom beat McDowell by four points tonight, don't remember exact score. Freedom did have a 14 point lead with under 2 minutes to go and McDowell had it down to a 2 point game with 9.6 secs to go.

I thought that Freedom's coach just about lost this game for his team. He just made some decisions during the final 2 minutes of the game that were stupid. For example, with 8.1 seconds remaining in the game and Freedom up by 4, MHS calls a timeout. The Titans come out to inbounds the ball under Freedoms goal. We put 1 player at half court and the other 3 underneath our goal. When the Titans line up in this formation - Freedom's coach acts as if he does not know what is going on and has players wondering also. Everyone in the stands knew that the Titans were going to throw the long baseball pass to one of our big guys underneath the goal and we did. The only bad part was we could not hit the easy layup. Anyway, it was a good come back by MHS and Freedom done a good job of hitting free throws when they needed to.

I thought the refs done a terrible job in both games tonight. I figured the NW4A would try to put the best refs on the floor during the tournament. I know they are better refs out there somewhere. They made some bad calls all night against all 4 teams. REACHING IN call was no where to be found. One call i'd never seen before was when a Freedom player got a rebound and as MHS has him in a double team he throws an elbow. A whistle blows and the ref says that it is the Titans ball. However, the ref does not call a foul. Instead of a foul he said that it was a violation. Never seen that call before. I assumed that if you gave Titans the ball then a foul would have to be called. I'm curious to see which refs will be doing the championship games friday night.
