Curious to see what jv players will help out from each school this year.

I don't want to leave anyone out but look out for these guys at Watauga.

Logan Smith LB- Came in for injured middle linebacker Tyler Hite against AC Reynolds in the playoffs and recorded 5 tackles in the second half as a freshman. Hit Darius Spencer hard a few times.

Cam Steury WR- Will step up and take over the roll left by Derek Smith. Leading JV reciever with wheels. Great offensive threat.

Will Greer LB- Hard hitting linebacker who is one of the stronger JV guys.

Ryan Campbell LB- JV's better tacklers with some good speed.

Nathan Jackson OL- Will battle for time at tackle.

I don't think they're as solid as they need to be though, Well not good enough to play on the next level anyways..

ACHS has some pretty solid freshman that are being talked about to play on varsity this year, but the fact that AC will only have 9-10 seniors could be a major factor

    Dont count them out though.

Your probably basing that on the fact that they won one game last year and went 1-11.

Well 2 years ago the 2007 seniors went 0-12 in JV and people said they didn't have the talent.

No, its not about 1 or 2 players its about how you play as a team.
I didnt think any of those players have what it takes to be standouts on the varsity level

i got to for the most part agree with cougarfootball40... the arguement of the jv team going 0-12 then going to the final four doesnt include the fact eric breitenstein never played jv which could be a pretty deciding factor... if eric played jv they probably would have won about 10 games... so that arguement isnt really suitable... will a couple of those players make an impact though? absolutely... Will Greer will make a huge defensive impact... Cam Steury without a doubt will get time as a big part of the wide receivers... Nathan Jackson... most likely will step in and get playing time... as for the others i cant say that i saw alot on the JV level for me to be able to say they will immediately make an impact with the varsity team this year... you have to remember the varsity team this year is still pretty loaded and its gonna be hard for underclassmen to get playing time no matter what... good luck to Watauga

Of the jv kids at Watauga, keep an eye on Logan Smith. In my opinion he's the best coming up. Will be just a soph, but is a big hitter at linebacker with some speed.

Two freshmen of note, Baker Stanley and Jacob Gilliam. While they will most likely be on the jv, remember those two names for the future.
