    Brent Rowe

I saw Rowe play last year. I believe he will be suiting up for the Varsity if he wants it. He is too good of an athlete. It would be nice if the Titans can throw it around this year a little and become more balanced in their offensive attack. I think they will definitely improve, but who knows by how much. My guess is that if they can get a couple of wins early they might turn out to be tough, but if they have some bad luck or bad breaks early in the season it could go down hill. I also hope they become a little more balanced in their run game. The fullback needs to be more involved. I felt like they wasted the stud they had last year at fullback. He should have had a couple more touches a game just to keep the defense honest if anything.

Winning and losing can become a way of life for some schools and sometimes you need a little luck to get out of the losing category. here's hoping McDowell can break the cycle this year.

according to rivals .com edwards was only offered by app st. he had interest from new mex. st ,vandy and memphis. don't get carried away thinking that appst could win in the acc. sure they could beat duke but the rest are just to much.these smaller schools can do well in a 1 game deal but trying playing 8 of them in one year. app st is great in their division but just not comparable th o the top level of the acc imo

You make some good points, but let me try to explain a couple of things. Websites like rivals. com and scout.com, and maxpreps can only write down what has been officially offered to a kid in writing. They can not report that a school contacted a kid and said they would offer on the condition that he play in their secondary only. Armanti Edwards made it known in recruiting circles that he wanted to play QB in college. So no, certain websites are not going to explain his entire recruiting history, but that is how it works for certain kids. That is why Marshall Faulk wound up at San Diego State a few years back. He was from Louisiana and LSU offered him to play defense, but he bolted becuase he wanted to play at the TB position. A pretty good decision on his part in the long run.

Also when I referenced Appalachian against ACC teams I was talking about a one game scenerio. I do not think they can compete week in and week out in the ACC. That is a mute point anyways because D1 schools get quite a few more scholarships than D1AA schools, so it is not really a fair scenerio in the first place. I was referring to the talent level in the bottom tier of the ACC and I am sorry, but App. played State just fine last year. Duke, Carolina, State, UV. You guys seem to forget that there is some crossover between the divisions in college football. The best teams in D1AA can usually hold their own pretty well against average D1 programs in one game situations.
:52: I will try not to get carried away in the future. Thanks

Here is a link to an article explaining Armanti's journaey from high school stud to college quarterback.

On the subject of McDowell : We should know about 3 weeks in how good the Titans are gonna be, if the young players step up: dangerous team. It seems alot is going to be riding on some younger guys but hell watauga last yr had a jr RB, jr QBs, even a soph at WR so who knows.

On the subject of ASU : Yes app could hang with some of the lower ACC schools theres no doubt. They used to play Wake every year (this is old WF mind you) and gave them a run year in and year out, even stole a few games. But consider a team like Marshall, DIAA dynasty, look at them in DI action...

On the subject of Eric : He has only been offered the RB position at Wofford as far as i know. He could play at ASU and be quite a star, on defense tho. He would not run the ball at ASU, unless there was an injury or something. He will have to choose between being a defensive starter for just about any college of his choice or toting the rock for a school like Wofford. Having said that lets let him play his senior yr at Watauga and see where he ends up!

I am betting he winds up at Appalachian. A brother already there, close to home, top program. It wouldn't surprise me at all.

Kincaid has the talent to play as a D1 player honestly, he's a phenominal athelete. Kincaids grades idk, but i can tell you thats one place Eric has an advantage over MANY players with his 4.0 GPA

Kincaid's grades aren't good. It was rumored that he might be ineligible. If he got to college, it wouldn't be a big one. But then again, they said the same of Rasheed Wallace when he went to UNC on a basketball scholarship and now look at where he is.

    He is D1!!!!!!!!

The Warden is right. He has D1 talent, but I think his grades may not be stellar just like what The Warden said, but hey who knows, "if there is a will there is a way". I have known some guys in the past who did not blossom academically until they got out of their hometown bubble, but I have also known quite a few that couldn't handle their first year away from home either and they regret it to this day. I am going to enjoy this guy's senior year and hope that he maybe lands somewhere. He is so talented, but we have all known some guys that were "could of, would of, should ofs." I am hoping he ain't one of those guys because he is ubertalented in three sports.
