Alexander will beat freedom. The Pats are not a team without talent, but are a team without wins they should have, and without heart to pick up the ones they should be competitive in. Alexanders passing attack ruins another close one for the boys from Morganton. 21-17

East Burke will have another win in Marion. This is another game for Titan fans to call for an upset over a better team, and be dissapointed. East Burke holds on to the ball, rolls on 35-21

Watauga will not give up another 35 minutes to the opponent, and will not give up another loss either. South is a pretty good team, Watauga is another pretty good team. Martin and Britenstein push 300 yds in this one. The Pioneers get back on track 28-13

ACR will rest up and get ready to finish out a typical unblemished NW4A schedule

Alexander-Freedom- instincts want to say Alexander with the passing attack but Freedom has never not won a game in conference. The Pats are goign to play hard and maybe pull it out but il take central by 3.

McDowell-East Burke- East has to horses in the backfield and a mobile qb. Look for kincaid to have over 200 and 3tds but may not be enough with a strong running game and some play action passes from the eb offense. lookin for a upset but i got my feelings hurt last week at reynolds so no prediction this week.

Watauga-South Caldwell- Look for Watauga to put up some points this week but it wont be a blowout. The Spartans always play hard and are coming off a win against Freedom. Looking for a big game from Bretienstein and the qb. Watauga will win by atleast 10.

in some peoples eyes it was south caldwell over freedom at freedom- just depends on what side of the fence you are on

i wouldnt think that east burke beating watauga at east burke during their own homecoming would be an upset. east burke has a better record overall. maybe people from boone would call that an upset but not anyone else.
tonync- mcdowell did play at watauga two weeks ago and it was wataugas homecoming. the upset mentioned was meant for last week and i would say that it would had to have been s.caldwell beating freedom at freedom. although either of those games could have went either way i just think its a bigger surprise that south won then east burke beating watauga. i knew east would win at home against that watauga team.

I swear i wasnt drinking.....Yes i meant EB beating Watauga....I was confused on where it was played....

that said, to me it's still an upset based on the Teams that played AC....the talent at QB and RB are better at Watauga than EB.....the EB D is a bit better....still I consider it an upset based on Watauga play from last year, and the expectations of this year.

interestedonlooker: You need to check the stats. Frogge is the 3rd leading rusher in the conference. Shatley is also in the top ten. Boughman is the 3rd leading reciever in the conference even though East Burke doesn't throw alot. Beck is probably the 2nd leading passer in the conference. Alexander stayed in the game due to 4 East Burke turnovers. If not for the turnovers the score would have been +40.
