NW4A - Week 11

acr won the last 4a state title in '99 before the split was instituted. they beat richmond county at their place when they were 3 time defending state champs and broke their 48 game winning streak.

 

you said you dont want to hear about our state championships because we dont play teams like richmond yet one of our championships came after beating a richmond team that was on a 2 year winning streak.

btw, independence has almost double the students that acr has. Richmond and butler have almost 1000 more students than acr. That is bigger than the difference between acr and most 1a schools. So if you want to talk about championship legitimacy then you have to include the championships of every 1a,2a, and 3a team.

I just wouldn't throw "state championships" in peoples faces when they give out two of them a year in 4A.

 

Boy there's a lot of smack being talked about by 2 teams that are going to play in week 12, but we're in week 11. Also, up here in the mountains we haven't had a lot to talk about in football until last year. We hadn't done much since 1978-79 so people are excited as they should be. But there's no reason for either to throw out each other's accomplishments. ACR has been consistantly good, while Watauga has finally got back in the mix the last 2 years. Also, the comment about the shrine bowl??? Eric is there and deserves it, but honestly the conference should have 2 other players there as well in Spencer and Kincaid. But let's both get by this week first then we can enjoy a big game up here in Boone next week.

 

state championships are earned not given. But why should I expect you to know that

 

hey acr been a power house since poss was there,acr is has alot to do with the teams in the nw4a getting better,why because we have to play acr every year and , if you want to win the conference you have to be good enough to beat acr, and give us some funs games to watch and gives us something talk about on here,so we will let the kids play it out on the feild acr may beat us but we are better for the teams we have played.

 

I would just like to throw it out there that I am not a watauga fan.....i'm third party in this conversation

 

They give them to the team that earns it. Or did you guys steal yours?
